Local radio station WTTS held the second Rock to Read show of 2018 featuring Snow Patrol at the Murat Theatre inside Old National Center. Rock to Read is a series of shows hosted annually by WTTS and local sponsors Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza and You Move Me that raises money for children’s literacy and helps benefit children’s reading programs with the Indianapolis Public Libraries.
The boys from Ireland via Scotland did not disappoint. Snow Patrol consisting of band members: Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar, piano, keys), Jonny Quinn (drums), Nathan Connolly (guitar), Paul Wilson (bass), and Johnny McDaid (keys, guitar) highlighted tunes from their new album “Wilderness” including hits “Don’t Give Up”, “Empress” and “What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get”. The band was energetic and engaging to the delighted fans even joking that “This can’t be a Wednesday night as this feels more like a Saturday crowd!” Before the night was done, Snow Patrol made their way through their catalog including hits “Take Back the City”, “Chasing Cars”, and “Shut Your Eyes”.
Snow Patrol continues dates in the US through November 2018 before heading across the pond to finish out the tour. Check here for dates and make sure to catch this show if coming to a town near you.
