Austin City limits takes place during the first two weekends of October every year at Zilker Park. The festival began in August of 2000 and was created by Austin based company, C3 Presents. The music company also created the Chicago based festival, LollaPalooza. Headliners this year include: Arctic Monkeys, The National, Metallica and Odesza. The fest has something for everyone! With seven stages and over 100 artists playing the festival, everyone is sure to have an enjoyable weekend. If you're bringing the kids, they even have the kid friendly Austin Kiddie Limits! The area includes workshops that include art activities, drum lessons, hip hop dance lessons and more!
ACL also has many options for meals when you are at the festival. Every year they have diverse restaurants and food trucks all over the park fit to suit any allergies and diets one may have.

There are various activities at the festival that help you get involved with your local community and make a change. A few of these organizations include: Rock & Recycle and Rock The Vote. Rock & Recycle recruits volunteers to pick up trash and recyclables around the park and in exchange they earn a t-shirt. Rock The Vote helps attendees register to vote and makes sure they know when the next election is coming up. They also educate voters about why their vote matters and how expressing their voice is important in this changing world.
