On November 21st, 2021 the LA based band Cannons brought their unique blend of dreamlike-electro and indie-pop jams to the stage at The Truman in Kansas City, MO as a part of lovelytheband’s Conversations with Myself About You tour. The band consists of Michelle Joy, Ryan Clapham, and Paul Davis; accompanied by Ben Hilzinger on drums.
I can safely say that I have never been entranced so quickly during a performance like I was when they took to the stage. Michelle has such an ethereal stage presence that kept everyone captivated for the entirety of their performance. Those around me seemed to be equally as in awe of her and her voice as I was– and as obsessed with that Lyn Alyson styled fit of hers too. The dreamy feel of their music really had an influence on the atmosphere during their set which included their top tracks ‘Fire For You’ and ‘Bad Dream’ along with their newest release ‘Purple Sun’.
