Photos & Review By: Chapin Patel

The Canadian/American band, Counterparts have been touring the U.S. in promotion of their newest release entitled “Private Room” (Pure Noise Records). Counterparts have decided to steer from the norm of heavy music and carry with them a mixed genre bill to keep things interesting. Counterparts gives one of the most high energy sets in modern music today.

This show in San Antonio Texas is no exception, Brendan (Vocalist) knows how to command a crowd and keep the participation up. (Brendan) Letting loose these throat shredding screams that are just pouring with raw emotion, Blake (Guitarist) completely blowing your mind with impeccable musicianship and knowing how to create dramatic sequences in these song.

The 5 piece band achieves every ounce of what Counterparts means to the fans and new listeners and really drive the point home that “Yes, this is a Counterparts show and I can’t receive this feeling from any other show.”
